The Health Professional Leadership Academy (HPLA) is a competitive program to build future leaders of pharmacy. It is an intensive, self-reflective experience where participants acquire self-awareness to be respected team managers, collaborative healthcare partners and influential pharmacy industry leaders. The program consists of eight two-hour webinars, home study, and a day at the Michigan Pharmacists Association Annual Convention & Exposition.
Developed in 2012, with more than 100 graduates, the Michigan Pharmacy Foundation (MPF) is committed to continuing the development of leaders to advance the profession of pharmacy.

Content modules cover:
Each participant completes a DiSC personality style assessment and an Agile emotional intelligence assessment. They engage in group activities to practice crucial conversations, acquire new skills, and discuss difficult topics requiring introspection and personal growth.
Content is aligned with the ACPE standards and participants receive 30 CEUS upon completion of the program. Space is limited so the selection process is competitive.

To apply for the 2024-2025 HPLA Class, please complete and return 2024 HPLA application form by September 9th, 2024.
The cost to attend the 2024 HPLA Program has been underwritten by the Michigan Pharmacy Foundation for Michigan Pharmacists Association (MPA) members. A program fee of $395 will be charged for non-MPA members.
